MEET LIZ
Associate Professor and Head of the Year 1 Architectural Design Studio at the University of Nottingham (2004-22).
Over 18 years I taught more than 3,600 students, oversaw a studio of 155 students each academic year, working with my team of around 35 staff. As Head of Year 1, I supported students through the transition from school to university - one of the most challenging and formative years of an architecture degree.
The 7-Day Insider's Guide is built directly from that experience.

"The course fully prepared me for my first semester of Studio.
Everything we had to learn, I was already capable of, thanks to the course."

Andreea T
Year 1 Architecture Student 2025-26 Coventry University
"The course gave me a much stronger foundation in architectural thinking, the importance of drawings as a means of communication, and the value of thinking beyond conventional solutions.
It gave me knowledge and perspectives on architecture that I would not have gained through school alone."
